The 2006 men's soccer team finished the season 9-8-2 and had three players make Skyline All-Conference. For the first time since joining the Skyline Conference, the Rams made the post-season tournament and faced the #6th ranked team in the nation, Stevens Institute of Technology. Farmingdale State freshman goalkeeper Joseph Caccavale (West Islip, NY/West Islip) was named Skyline Rookie of the Week for men's soccer on Monday, October 9th. Caccavale had a busy week in goal in a 1-0-1 week for Farmingdale. He held the fort with 11 saves to keep the Rams alive in order to get a 1-0 overtime shutout victory.
