The 2006 men's soccer team finished the season 9-8-2 and had three players make Skyline All-Conference. For the first time since joining the Skyline Conference, the Rams made the post-season tournament and faced the #6th ranked team in the nation, Stevens Institute of Technology. Despite the loss in the semifinals, this year's team finished with the most wins since the school joined the NCAA in 1999...

Farmingdale State freshman goalkeeper Joseph Caccavale (West Islip, NY/West Islip) was named Skyline Rookie of the Week for men's soccer on Monday, October 9th. Caccavale had a busy week in goal in a 1-0-1 week for Farmingdale. He held the fort with 11 saves to keep the Rams alive in order to get a 1-0 overtime shutout victory. The Rams faced Staten Island in their first game of the tournament.
