Second Half Surge Leads Soccer Over St. Joe's

Patchogue, NY - A five goal second half gave Farmingdale men's soccer a victory over conference opponent St. Joseph's (6-5, 2-2) on Saturday afernoon in Patchogue, NY. The Rams improved to 4-4-1, 1-2 Skyline with the win.

Five of the seven goals came via Farmingdale's first year players. Freshmen Marcos Cipra and Ryan Paul each scored two goals for the Rams, while junior transfer Andrew Whilby added one goal. Freshman Frank Volante had two assists on the day, while on the defensive end, freshman goalkeeper Joseph Caccavale made 10 saves on 26 shots faced to preserve the victory.

The eventual game-winner was scored by junior forward Andrew Jardine in the 71st minute of play.

St. Joseph's Adam Rogers scored two for the Golden Eagles.

The Rams face Manhattanville for another Skyline game in Purchase, NY on Wednesday, October 4th at 3:30pm.
