Profile:

Jen was named the Director of Sports Medicine in November 2021 and prior to that was the Head Athletic Trainer since November of 2017.

She joined the FSC staff as the Assistant Athletic Trainer in 2012 and immediately established online procedures to help streamline our student-athlete clearance process. Along with providing medical coverage for our teams at games and practices, she helped develop our concussion protocol and has been responsible for the budget and incorporating new therapeutic modalities into our athletic training room.

A graduate of Southern Connecticut State, she received her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science/Athletic Training with a minor in Wellness. After college, she spent three years on the Athletic Training Staff at Nassau Community College, before she pursued her Master's degree from Dowling College.

While completing her studies, she spent time as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Glen Cove School District ('09 -'12). In the summers, she volunteers at the Naval Academy Lacrosse Camp in Annapolis, Maryland as an Athletic Trainer/First Aider.

Jen completed her Master of Science degree from Dowling in Adolescence Education in Biology in January 2010. She is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and holds New York State initial licenses to teach both Biology 5-12 and Health Education K-12. She currently resides in North Massapequa.

 



 

Jessica Dautner, ATC, EMT-B

Jess was named the Head Athletic Trainer in November 2021. She joined the FSC Athletic Training staff in July 2012.

She began her collegiate career at Farmingdale State, where she was a student-athlete on the softball and women’s tennis teams from fall ‘07 - spring ‘09. After receiving her Associate’s Degree from FSC, she transferred to SUNY Cortland to pursue the Athletic Training field.

Jess graduated from SUNY Cortland with a B.S. in Athletic Training in December of 2011. While at SUNY Cortland, Jess worked closely with the Red Dragons’ Field Hockey and Football teams. In her spare time, she gained additional experience working at a local high school and was also involved with Campus Emergency Rescue Squad as a Crew Chief EMT. 

In spring 2012, Jess interned at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, where she covered a variety of sports, including some professional sports such as: Major League Soccer, the World Acrobatic Gymnastic Championships and the Nike Combine Camp. She also volunteered at the Empire State Senior Games in Cortland, NY.

In December of 2016, Jess earned her Master's Degree in sport management from SUNY Cortland.

Jess is an active member of both the National Athletic Trainer’s Association (NATA) and the Eastern Athletic Trainer's Association (EATA). She holds a New York State licensure and became certified by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) in 2012. Jess earned her New York State EMT Certification in 2008 and has volunteered as an EMT for the Deer Park Fire Department. She is also certified through the American Red Cross for First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.

 
 


 

Ray Zdrodowski

Profile:

Ray joined the Farmingdale State College staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer in February of 2018. He, along with the rest of the Sports Medicine staff, provides medical coverage for all 18 intercollegiate sports at FSC. Ray was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer in November 2021.

Prior to Farmingdale State, Ray worked at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the primary Athletic Trainer for the Field Hockey, Wrestling, and Women’s Lacrosse teams. He also worked closely with the Women’s Ice Hockey team while at JWU.

Ray also completed a 1-year internship with Brown University in 2015, where he assisted with the treatment and care for Browns Cross Country and Track & Field teams.

Ray graduated from Seton Hall University in 2014, where he earned his master’s in Athletic Training. Ray completed his bachelor’s at The University at Albany in 2012 in Human Biology.

Ray is a certified athletic trainer and licensed by the state of New York. He is also certified in CPR/AED. He is an active member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and Eastern Athletic Trainer’s Association.

Ray resides in Levittown with his wife Karen and son Carter.
