Oneonta, NY - Oneonta State junior Keith Manscuk (Rochester, NY/Aquinas) continued his season-long assault on the opposition with three more goals this afternoon in leading the Red Dragons to a 4-0 shutout of Farmingdale. For the season Manscuk now has nine multiple goal games including four games where he has registered three goals. He continues to add to his program record in goals (25) and points (59). Manscuk figured in all four goals this afternoon with an assist on Oneonta's third goal scored by classmate Michael Mahoney (New City, NY/Clarkstown North).
Manscuk opened the scoring in the ninth minute when he took a pass from senior Ryan Grady (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill) and put a ball low along the ground by the diving Farmingdale keeper.
Despite out shooting the Rams 15-2 in the first half, Oneonta (12-2-1) held only the one-goal lead at the break.
Manscuk gave Oneonta a 2-0 lead just over two minutes into the second half when he stole the ball from a defender and blasted a ball into the back of the goal.
Manscuk's final goal of the game came just 16 seconds after Mahoney's on a penalty kick after a hand ball was called in the box.
Oneonta keeper, sophomore Michael Amari (Vineland, NJ/Vineland), made three saves in goal for the Red Dragons today in picking up his fifth win of the season.
