Hoboken, NJ - The Farmingdale State men's soccer team (1-4-1, 0-2 Skyline) faced the 7th ranked team in the country, Stevens (6-0-1, 1-0 Skyline), on Wednesday afternoon at DeBaun Field in Hoboken, NJ. The Rams were outshot 22-0, but held Stevens to just one goal in the 1-0 loss.
Freshman goalkeeper Joseph Caccavale (West Islip, NY/West Islip) made six saves in defeat for Farmingdale State. Stevens' only goal came in the first half at the 27-minute mark when sophomore forward Jeremy Lippel(West Orange, NJ) received a pass up the midfield from freshman Al Lockhart (Decatur, GA) and knocked it past Caccavale for the eventual game-winner.
The Rams will travel to Hackettstown, New Jersey on Saturday, September 23rd for a conference game against Centenary College at 3:00pm.
