Farmingdale, NY � The Farmingdale men's soccer team (5-4-2, 2-2-1) ended in a deadlock today in a double-overtime game against Skyline opponent Mount Saint Mary College (5-6-1, 0-3-1) in Farmingdale, NY. The Rams took the lead in the first half as senior midfielder Carlos Proano (Brentwood, NY/Brentwood) ripped a shot past the Blue Knights' goalkeeper from six yards out for the 1-0 advantage.

Farmingdale kept the pressure on and held the lead until Mount Saint Mary's Chris Lahar (Wallkill, NY/Wallkill Senior) sailed a free kick over the Rams defense and between the pipes to tie the score at 1-1 with 12 minutes remaining in the game.

Neither team could capitalize throughout the two overtime periods, ending in a 1-1 conference tie. Junior goalkeeper Kyle Reiss (Oxford, NY/Oxford Academy) made 15 saves on 26 shots faced for the Blue Knights. Farmingdale's freshman goalkeeper Joseph Caccavale (West Islip, NY/West Islip) made five saves on eight shots.

The Rams host New Jersey City University on Monday, October 9th in a non-conference game at 3:00pm.
