Oshkosh, Wisc. - Senior Chris Okolie (Bronx, N.Y./Hills East) finished in 10th place at todays Division III Outdoor Track National Championships held at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, Wisc. Okolie was the 16th seed before the Tournament, making his finish a huge accomplishment to end his collegiate career with the Rams. Okolie threw 48.29m (158'5"), his second best throw ever. This year's Discus Champion, Dan Hytonen (of UW-Whitewater) set the NCAA Division III record with a throw of 59.87m (196'5")...

Springfield, Mass. - Sophomore Chris Herbst set two personal bests in qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Chris placed 7th in the 110m High Hurdles (15.09 trials) in an NCAA Qualifying 14.87 seconds, also moving him to #4 on the All-Time list. He then ran 55.53 in the 400m Intermediate Hurdles for his second personal best of the day and moved to #5 on the All-Time Farmingdale list. Chris also ran on the 4x100m and 4x400m Relays. Randalls Island, N.Y. - Chris Okolie placed third in the Discus Throw with a personal best throw of 48.64m (159' 7") to improve his National provisional qualifying performance. Chris is currently #2 in the ECAC and #13 on the National performance list. He is #3 on the All-Time Farmingdale list. Reuben Hairston placed 5th in the Long Jump with an ECAC and National provisional qualifying jump of 7.00m (22' 11 3/4"). Philadelphia, Pa. - The men's outdoor track team competed in three relays and had three individual competitors at the Penn Relays on Friday, April 25th at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa. Senior Chris Okolie thre the Discus 46.88m (153'10") to place 18th out of the 33 competitors. Chris was the top Division III competitor in the event and has a National provisional qualifying mark for the upcoming NCAA Championships...

Allentown, Pa. - The Farmingdale State men's outdoor track team placed 2nd on April 19-20th at the Collegiate Track Conference Championships held at DeSales University in Allentown, Pa, while the women finished 16th at the meet. The 2nd place finish for the men and the 104 points scored is the highest in school history. The Conference consists of 31 Division I, II and III schools.
