Rams Shine at USMMA Invitational

Kings Point, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State Outdoor Track team shined at the USMMA Invitational on Saturday, May 3rd, winning seven events and taking second place in four others. Freshman Alexandra Smith won both the Long Jump (5.22m, 17' 1 1/2") and Triple Jump (10.32m, 33' 10 1/4") with personal best performances. Ali's Long Jump qualifies her for the ECAC Championships and places her 5th on the All-Time Farmingdale women's Long Jump list. She is also 5th on the All-Time Triple Jump list.

Freshman Qasim Ellis also won the Long Jump with a 6.86m (22' 6 1/4") jump. This improves his ECAC qualifying performance, is a personal best and moves him to 8th on Farmingdale's All-Time Long Jump list.
