Rams Place Well at Track ECAC Championships
ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships - at Springfield College - May 15th - 16th, 2008
Springfield, Mass. - Sophomore Chris Herbst set two personal bests in qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Chris placed 7th in the 110m High Hurdles (15.09 trials) in an NCAA Qualifying 14.87 seconds, also moving him to #4 on the All-Time list. He then ran 55.53 in the 400m Intermediate Hurdles for his second personal best of the day and moved to #5 on the All-Time Farmingdale list. Chris also ran on the 4x100m and 4x400m Relays.
Senior Chris Okolie placed 4th in the Discus with a throw of 45.39m (148' 11"). Chris has previously qulaified for the NCAA Championships.
Freshman Qasim Ellis placed 8th in the Long Jump with a jump of 6.68m (21' 11"). The team placed 30th out of 81 participating schools.
The team qualfied three student-athletes for the NCAA Championships this weekend, May 22nd - 24th at the University of Wisconsin-Osh Kosh.
