Farmingdale, NY - Freshman midfielder Amanda Biondi (West Islip, NY/West Islip) was selected to the D3Kicks.com New York Region Second Team. Thanks to Amanda's play in the midfield, the Rams "Goals For" has improved by 11 and the "Goals Against" has decreased by 15 since last season. Her three goals and five assists are deceiving, but Biondi controls the game from the middle with her speed and footwork, setting up the forward line, while also taking control on defense and getting the ball back up field. Amanda was also named First Team All-Skyline this season...

The 2006 Farmingdale State women's soccer team finished the year 10-8-2. After falling to Stevens Institute of Technology in the Skyline Semifinals, the Rams received their first-ever bid to the ECAC Metro Tournament as the #2 seed. They faced #3 seed Rutgers-Camden in the semifinal game and posted a 2-1 win to advance to the ECAC Finals. Top-seeded Manhattanville snagged the Championship from Farmingdale with a 2-0 victory, but the team posted the most wins since joining the NCAA six years ago and only allowed 28 goals all season with seven shutout wins...

Farmingdale, NY - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team received a bid to the ECAC Metro Tournament as the #2 seed. This is the first-ever ECAC bid for women's soccer, who will host #3 Rutgers-Camden this Saturday, November 11th with a tentative game time of 1:00pm. Farmingdale State freshman forward Renee Schondebare (Selden, NY/Newfield) was named the Skyline Rookie of the Week for women's soccer on Monday, October 30th. Renee scored two goals, including the game-winner, in the Rams 4-0 win over St. Joseph's, moving them into 4th place in the Skyline. Her first goal of the game came unassisted just 29 seconds into the first half. She then added her second of the day, another unassisted goal, 23 minutes later to put the Rams up 2-0 early in the game...

Kim stopped five shots in each of the Rams' first two games. In the season opener against Maine Maritime, Sontag entered at halftime with Farmingdale trailing 1-0. She played the entire second half and overtime and did not allow a goal as the Rams rallied for a 1-1 tie. Sontag earned her first career start against FDU-Florham the following day and made five saves in the first half.
