Centenary Takes Conference Victory from Rams

Hackettstown, NJ - The Farmingdale State women's soccer team fell to 2-5-2, 0-2 Skyline today with a loss to conference opponent Centenary College (3-4, 2-0) in Hackettstown, NJ. The Cyclones held a 1-0 lead at the half after an unassisted goal by junior forward Clare Johnson (Morris Plains, NJ/Morristown) at the 25-minute mark.

Centenary added two late second half goals for the 3-0 victory. Freshman Kiti Ovaskainen (Helsinki, Finland/Vaskineoren Lukio) scored in the 79th minute of play and freshman forward Staci Huelat (Wildwood, MO/Lafayette) scored at the 87th minute of play. Goalkeeper Coree Reuter (La Center, WA/La Center) made six saves for the shutout.

Freshman goalkeeper Kimberly Sontag (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) made seven saves in defeat for Farmingdale State.

The Rams face Staten Island in a home game on Sunday, October 1st at 1:00pm.
