Senior four-sport student-athlete at Farmingdale State, Patric Santiago, was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Men's At-Large Second Team on Tuesday, June 13th. The Men's At-Large program for the Academic All-America program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. Patric was among 48 student-athletes around the country in the College Division to make the Men's At-Large Academic All-America Team. The Men's At-Large program for the Academic All-America program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. All members of the All-District First Team are now eligible to be voted on for the National ballot for All-America, voting begins on Tuesday, May 30th.

In the fall semester, the Rams finished in 2nd place at the Skyline Conference Championship. The conference championship was a two-day event held at Long Island National. Senior Tom Koprowski captured the individual championship with scores of 74 and 77. Freshman Andrew Schwartz finished 5th with scores of 84 and 75.
Farmingdale State capped off a brilliant spring season by taking first place at the Farmingdale State Invitational held at Bethpage State Park. Senior Tom Koprowski finished first place with a 2-day total of 152, Senior Patric Santiago took 2nd place with a total of 156. Junior Ryan Williams tied a school record shooting an even par 70 at St. George’s Country Club. The team lost only one match in the spring to Division II Dowling and later defeated Dowling as well as Division II Adelphi and Division I Manhattan College.Apr 28, 2006
Senior Patric Santiago and sophomore Kyle Havas each shot a match-low 76 leading Farmingdale State to an easy victory of four Skyline Conference opponents. Junior Ryan Williams and Freshman Alec Salvitti each posted a score of 80 for the Rams, while freshman Andrew Schwartz shot an 83. Bethpage, NY - Seniors Tom Koprowski and Patric Santiago finished in 1st and 2nd place individually as Farmingdale State captured the team championship of the second annual Farmingdale State Golf Invitational. Koprowski and Santiago were tied for 1st after day 1 of the tournament and played in the final group on day 2. Koprowski led Santiago by 3 strokes after nine and finished 4 ahead of his fellow teammate as well as Nassau CC’s Oliver Hudesman, who tied Snatiago for second place with 2-day total of 156. St. Joseph's Kevin Jackson and Dowling's Tom O'Neil each totaled 159 to round out the top five for the tournament. Farmingdale's Ryan Williams finished in the top 10 after shooting a 77 on day 1.

Junior Ryan Williams (Woodbury, NY/Clarke) posted a 77 for the Rams as Farmingdale holds a 10 shot lead over Division II Dowling College heading into the final round on Day 2 of the 6-team tournament. Tom Koprowski (Hauppauge, NY/St. Thomas Moore) shot a team-low 76 on day two of the Long Island Intercollegiate Golf Championship leading Farmingdale State to a second place finish. The Rams were only defeated by Division II Dowling College and defeated Adelphi University (Division II), Skyline opponent St. Joseph's and junior colleges Nassau CC and Suffolk CC. Junior Ryan Williams (Westbury, NY/Clarke) tied a school record today shooting an even par 70 at St. Georges Country Club (Stony Brook, NY) leading Farmingdale to an easy victory over Nassau CC and host Suffolk CC. Williams shot a 1-under 34 on the front nine and then birdied hole #18 for a 1-over 36 on the back side. His score of 70 equals Rob Catalafomo's even par 70 posted at Tall Grass Golf Course in 2003. Williams chose a great time to accomplish his feat doing so against his former team Nassau CC. Sophomore Kyle Havas (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst) shot a match-low 79 leading Farmingdale State over Skyline opponents St. Joseph¹s and Centenary College. The season opening match was played in cold and windy conditions at Pine Ridge Golf Course located in Mt. Sinai, NY. The Rams lost by only three strokes to Division I Manhattan College.
