Koprowski, Santiago Lead Rams to Victory in Farmingdale State Golf Invitational

Bethpage, NY - Seniors Tom Koprowski and Patric Santiago finished in 1st and 2nd place individually as Farmingdale State captured the team championship of the second annual Farmingdale State Golf Invitational. Koprowski and Santiago were tied for 1st after day 1 of the tournament and played in the final group on day 2. Koprowski led Santiago by 3 strokes after nine and finished 4 ahead of his fellow teammate as well as Nassau CC's Oliver Hudesman, who tied Snatiago for second place with 2-day total of 156. St. Joseph's Kevin Jackson and Dowling's Tom O'Neil each totaled 159 to round out the top five for the tournament. Farmingdale's Ryan Williams finished in the top 10 after shooting a 77 on day 1.

Farmingdale State, who led after day one of the tournament by 10 shots, defeated second place Dowling by 13 strokes. The victory marked the first ever tournament win for Farmingdale since they became active members of the NCAA in 2002.
