The men's indoor track team set three school records this season. They finished in 2nd place with 107 points at the CTC Championships, the highest point total and finish in school history. They also had their first-ever Top-10 finish at the ECAC's, with a 9th place finish out of 44 teams. Freshman Shane Smith set a new school record at 15 feet, 5 inches in the Pole Vault, for a 2nd place finish at the ECAC's. The women's indoor track team finished in 13th place at the CTC's and set two school records this season. Freshman Kara Grech set a Pole Vault record with a vault of 8 feet, 10 and a quarter inches at the NYU Fast Track Meet. The women's sprint medley relay team of Shannon Tulloch, Ivory Elder, Ophelia Collins-Sukdeo and Karla Joseph set a new record in a time of 4 minutes and 40.17 seconds...

Collegeville, Pa. - Sophomore Shane Smith (Brooklyn, NY/Lafayette) and junior Akil Williams (Jamaica, NY/August Martin) led the men?s indoor track team to their first-ever Top-10 finish in the ECAC Championships on March 3rd and 4th at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. New York, NY - The men's and women's indoor track teams competed in the Collegiate Track Conference Championships on Monday, February 27th at the 168 St. Armory in New York City. The meet was originally scheduled for Sunday, February 12th, but was postponed due to the blizzard. The meet was rescheduled for Monday with 18 of the 26 teams competing. The men's and women's indoor track teams competed in the NYU Fast Track Meet on Friday, February 24th at the 168 St. Armory in New York City. Freshman Kara Grech brock her own school record in the Pole Vault with a vault of 8'10 1/4" (2.70m). This is the second time this season that Kara has set the school record. The men's 4x400m Relay team of Reggie Routier, Shane Smith, Jason Chin-Chitty and Armann Leiffson ran 3:26.46 to qualify for the ECAC Championships on March 3-4 at Ursinus in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. The New Balance Collegiate Invitational will take place this weekend on February 3rd and 4th at the 168 St. Armory in Manhattan, NY. This meet is known as one of the top track meets in the nation for men's and women's indoor track and has strict qualifying standards. The Rams qualified to compete in six events and will be competing with schools such as Arkansas, Texas and other top Division I and II schools. Farmingdale State will be represented at the meet by: Ian Lovergie (High Jump), Reuben Hairston (Long Jump), Shane Smith (Pole Vault), Earl Noel (55m High Hurdles), Reggie Routier (55m High Hurdles) and the 4x200m and 4x400m Relay teams. The individual events will take place on Saturday, February 3rd and the Relays will take place on Sunday, February 4th...

The men?s and women?s indoor track team excelled at the Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday, January 28th. In solid Division III competition among 27 schools, the team had two 1st place finishes, one 2nd place, three 3rd places, three 4th places and one 5th place. The men's and women's indoor track team competed in the Great Dane Invitational this Friday, January 20th at the 168 St. Armory in New York, NY. The Rams had three new ECAC Qualifying times and six personal bests set at the meet. Freshman Earl Noel (Yonkers, NY/Saunders) qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 55m Hurdles in a time of 8.06, a personal best. Earl was followed closely by captain Reggie Routier (Freeport, NY/Freeport) in an ECAC-qualifying personal best of 8.08. Reggie has now qualified for two events at the ECAC's, the Triple Jump and Hurdles. Junior Armann Leifsson (Melville, NY/Half Hollow Hills East) also qualified for the ECAC's after he ran 1:58.04 to place 7th overall in the 800m. The men's team placed 13th out of 14 teams...
