2013 Men's Lacrosse Season Recap


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The men's lacrosse team earned the #3 seed for the Skyline Playoffs and fell at Kean in the semifinal round. The Rams finished the season with a 7-8 record.

Senior midfielder Bobby Thomas (Wantagh, N.Y.) tallied a team-leading 51 points with 17 goals and 34 assists. Sophomore midfielder Donovan Devaney (East Northport, N.Y.) held an impressive .650 face-off win percentage and picked up a team-high 92 ground balls. Sophomore attack Matthew Finn (Huntington Station, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State with 36 goals, including a Skyline Conference leading 12 man-up goals. Senior defender Ricky Morales (Holbrook, N.Y.) led the team in caused turnovers and was third in ground balls. Defensively, Farmingdale State was anchored by senior Peter Deignan (Massapequa, N.Y.) and sophomore Matthew Scro (Valley Stream, N.Y.). Deignan was second on the team in caused turnovers, while Scro was third.

Freshman goalkeeper Thomas Fallon (Kings Park, N.Y.) recorded 8.87 saves per game with a .494 save percentage in his rookie season.

Devaney and Fallon were named to the First Team, while Thomas, Morales and Deignan earned Second Team honors.

Farmingdale State earned the Skyline Team Sportsmanship Award.
