BROOKLYN | A total of 14 players from the Farmingdale State College men's basketball team scored points in Wednesday night's Skyline Conference game at The Hill Center, including four in double figures, as the Rams moved to 4-0 in conference play with a 93-52 victory at St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn.

FSC (9-4, 4-0) received a game- and career-best 16 points from freshman forward Macai John (Hauppauge, N.Y.), who shot 6-of-8 from the field, as well as 10 points apiece from seniors Corey Powell (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and Zamere McKenzie (Beacon, N.Y.), along with junior Jaden Barwicki (Island Park, N.Y.). The visitors shot .462 (36-of-78) from the field on the evening, while holding edges in rebounding (50-33), points in the paint (48-16) and fast-break points (27-2) to control the game from start to finish. Farmingdale State also converted 20 turnovers by the host Bears (3-10, 0-4) into 27 points in transition.

A seven-point spurt by the Rams out of a time out gave Farmingdale State the lead for good at 17-11 when freshman point guard Michael Notias (Manhasset, N.Y.) knocked down a floater, before four-consecutive points by McKenzie kick-started a 17-0 spurt over the final 7:15 of the opening half to give the visitors a 44-20 halftime edge.

The second half featured more of the same for Farmingdale State, as John scored seven-straight points during a 9-0 run early in the second frame to push his side ahead by a 60-30 count just over six minutes into the stanza to set the pace for his team.

Head coach Brendan Twomey's Rams are back in Skyline action Saturday afternoon, when they play host to Old Westbury in a noon tip-off.
