Head Coach: Brendan Twomey (11th season)
Coach Brendan Twomey joined the FSC staff in July of 2013 and holds a 152-92 career record at Farmingdale State.
In his first season at the helm (2013-14), he led FSC to an 18-9 overall record, including a 13-5 mark in the Skyline Conference. In 2016-17, Twomey led the Rams to a 77-75 defeat of Sage to claim their first conference title since 2011-12 and a berth into the NCAA Tournament. Twomey led the Rams back to the NCAA Tournament in 2018-19 after capturing his second Skyline title with an 81-75 win over Yeshiva in the Conference Finals.
Prior to Farmingdale State, Twomey spent one year as the head coach at Centenary College and four years as the associate head coach at Stevens Institute.
With the Cyclones, Twomey finished with a 13-13 overall record and 10-8 conference record, helping the program reach the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) tournament for the first time in three years.
During his time at Stevens, Twomey helped guide the team to a 73-37 overall record including a 2011 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship while developing nine All-Conference and three All-Region student-athletes. As associate head coach, Twomey was responsible for recruiting, practice planning, game preparation, and individual skill development while also serving as a building supervisor, physical education instructor, and intramural director.
As the recruiting coordinator, Twomey helped bring in the team's leading scorer, Sheldon Jones, a Second-Team All-Conference selection in his sophomore year and First-Team All-Conference selection his junior year. In 2011-12, Twomey helped lead Stevens to a 20-8 overall record and an ECAC semi-final appearance. During the 2010-11 season, Twomey and his staff were named the Empire 8 Conference Staff of the year and was given the Schoenfeld Award in 2008-09, given by N.J. officials for sportsmanship in the state of N.J.
Prior to working at Stevens, Twomey served as the Game Scout Video Coordinator for the NBA, analyzing and editing game film for the NBA, NBDL, and WNBA and was selected as one of two scouts to analyze the FIBA America's Championships for the United States men's basketball team.
A graduate of Mount Saint Mary College in 2004 with a degree in business administration, Twomey was inducted to the Athletics Hall of Fame in April 2013. Serving as a team captain his junior and senior seasons, Twomey became the All-Time leading scorer at Mount Saint Mary College while finishing fifth All-Time in Division III in three pointers made (362) and 12th All-Time in three-pointers per game (3.32). Behind Twomey, the Knights went 58-29 during his three years on campus; and in 2002-03 Mount Saint Mary went 23-8, which stood as the program's best record in school history until 2011-12. Adding the 306 points he scored as a freshman at Oneonta, Twomey totaled 1,809 points during his four year career, for an average of 16.6 per game.
Twomey was named a three-time First Team All-Conference member in the Skyline Conference and was named the Skyline Player of the Year as a senior in the 2003-04 campaign. He also earned ECAC Metro Region Second Team honors as a junior and First Team honors as a senior. Furthermore, the former standout earned Second Team All-Atlantic Region honors from D3hoops.com in both 2002-03 and 2003-04. Lastly, D-III News named him a Pre-Season All-American as a junior and a senior, and an Honorable Mention All-American at the conclusion of his senior year.
Upon graduating from Mount Saint Mary College, Twomey took his talents to the professional level and played for Merry Monk Ballina and the Limerick Lions of the Irish Super League, as well as the Carolina Thunder of the American Basketball Association.

Associate Head Coach: Steve Raisfeld
Coach Steve Raisfeld is entering his eighth season at Farmingdale State College with an overall record of 126-66, including 96-28 in Skyline Conference play. Since Raisfeld joined FSC, the Rams have won five regular season titles (2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023) captured the Skyline Conference Championship in 2017, 2019 and 2023 with earn berths into the NCAA Tournament.
In addition, Raisfeld has coached one All-American, 12 All-Conference players, three Defensive Player's of the Year, one Rookie of the Year and a two-time Skyline Tournament MVP. Raisfeld, who has extensive recruiting ties in the Metropolitan New York area, oversees the recruiting for the men's basketball program as well as scouting opponents, monitoring academic progress of the student-athletes and other day-to-day aspects to help maintain a successful program. Besides his coaching duties, Raisfeld oversees the Farmingdale State men's basketball’s community outreach programs, including its running of the annual “CYO Day" Clinic for about 100 youth kids before a home game. He also assists with the Katie McBride Foundation, a charity that works to raise important funds and awareness of the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island and the family support services it provides. In 2017, Coach Raisfeld was named Under Armour 30 under 30 up and coming young coaches.
Prior to Coach Raisfeld joining FSC, he was at Fordham University as Director of Video Operations from 2011-2015. His duties included travel arrangements, academics, housing, scheduling, facilities, player development and community relations and serving as the director of the Tom Pecora Basketball Camps. Raisfeld was involved in game and practice preparation, player development, preparing scouting reports and video editing. Raisfeld also supervised all facets of the men's basketball academic program, which included acting as a liaison between student-athletes and faculty. He spearheaded the Fordham men's basketball's community service programs and was involved in numerous outreach programs, including weekly school assemblies and clinics.
Raisfeld worked as a graduate assistant/video coordinator at Hofstra University in 2010-11 before heading to Fordham University.
Raisfeld is a 2010 graduate of Hofstra's Zarb School of Business with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. He is the process of finishing his Master’s Degree in Sports Management from SUNY Cortland.
He has coached two NBA draft picks:
Charles Jenkins (Hofstra) (2011 - 44th Pick - Warriors) and Eric Paschall (Fordham) (2019 - 41st Pick - Warriors).
Assistant Coach: George Riefenstahl
Coach George Riefenstahl became a member of the men's basketball staff for the 2019-20 season. Riefenstahl, a graduate of Farmingdale State College, played four seasons of basketball under Head Coach Brendan Twomey. He earned an array of honors over his career including First Team All-Conference (4x), Second Team All-Met (3x), D3Hoops.com All-Atlantic Region (2x), NABC Second Team All-Atlantic Region, All-ECAC Honorable Mention, Reese's DIII All-Star Selection, Skyline Defensive Player of the Year and Skyline Rookie of the Year honors.
Riefenstahl is the FSC all-time leader in both blocked shots and defensive rebounds, second in total rebounds and offensive rebounds, third for field goals made, fifth for points scored, sixth in made free-throws and eighth for field goal percentage.
Assistant Coach: Jaylin Miller
Assistant Coach Jaylin Miller joined the Men's basketball staff as Team Manager for the 2021-22 season. Miller, a Farmingdale State College '22 graduate, played one season of basketball for Utica University (Empire 8) in 2018-2019. Miller graduated from Farmingdale State College with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management.
Jaylin Miller is the CEO of Basketball Fly, a brand that established itself as a platform for providing positive direction, sustainable life skills, physical fitness, and urban lifestyle clothing through basketball. Basketball Fly partnered with Core Group Enterprises (CGE LAB) providing youth sports, leadership/mentoring programs, basketball tournaments, camps and clinics, and positive community contributions.
In 2021, Jaylin joined the staff of 3X3USA, a FIBA-endorsed organization that organizes exciting series of events in cities across the country that provide opportunities to represent your country in international competition through the game of basketball.
