The women’s cross-country team was made up of all freshmen this year. They were led at the Skyline Championships by Karla Joseph with a 13th place finish, a 15th place finish from Shannon Tulloch, 19th from Ivory Elder and 30th from Rachael Osbourne. Senior captain Jason Hernandez (Bay Shore, NY/St. Anthonys) ended his cross-country career by setting a new personal best (36th place, 32:23.26) for the 5-mile Van Cortlandt Park course on Sunday, October 30th in the Bronx, NY. The all freshman women?s team finished in 5th place at the Highlander Invitational, led by Karla Joseph (Brooklyn, NY/Clara Barton) in 22nd place, 24:17.37; Shannon Tulloch (Jamaica, NY/Jamaica High) in 26th place, 24:44.59; and Ivory Elder (Dix Hills, NY/Hills West) in 27th place, 25:07.70. Joseph, Tulloch and Elder received awards as the top freshman in the race.
