COMPLETE COLLEGE SPORTS COMMUNICATORS RELEASE

GREENWOOD, Ind. | College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) announced its 2022 women's volleyball Academic All-District teams Tuesday afternoon, and Farmingdale State College senior setter Lexi Cavalieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.) and junior middle blocker Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Hts., N.Y.) collected NCAA Division III recognition.

Cavalieri has a 3.50 grade-point average (4.0 scale) in Business Management, and registered 1,424 assists over three years in a Rams uniform -- good for the second-best mark in program history. In FSC's 6-2 offense this past fall, she passed 342 assists (5.03/set) while serving 34 aces (0.50/set). Cavalieri's efforts helped the Rams to a 15-8 record overall, a 10-1 mark that tied at the top of the Skyline Conference standings for the second time in as many seasons, and a program-record 14-match winning streak (Sept. 27-Oct. 28).

Ricketts, the 2021 Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, sports a 3.64 GPA in Nursing. She was named to the All-Skyline Conference First Team for the second time in as many seasons of collegiate volleyball after leading Farmingdale State with 37 total blocks (13 solo) and a .274 hitting percentage. Ricketts finished the season with conference rankings in hitting percentage (third), kills per set (eighth, 2.64) and points per set (10th, 3.04), and hit .400-plus in nine of the Rams' last 10 matches.

Cavalieri and Ricketts are now eligible for Academic All-America®, selected by College Sports Communicators, team consideration, with voting taking place across the country by CSC members over the next two weeks (Nov. 22-Dec. 6). The Academic All-America team will be announced on Dec. 21 (Wed.)
