Farmingdale State Cruises Past Maritime on Senior Night

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The FSC women's volleyball team defeated SUNY Maritime, 3-0, this evening in Farmingdale, N.Y. to close out their Skyline Conference schedule. The Rams finish 10-1 in conference play and improved to 14-7 overall. Farmingdale State has now tied the program record with 13 consecutive victories.

It was Senior Night at FSC as setter Lexi Cavalieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.), outside hitter Kate Flamio (East Islip, N.Y.), right side Mikayla Dalton (Mineola, N.Y.), outside hitter Cathleen Farrell (Bayport, N.Y.) and libero Madisyn Pozo (Bayside, N.Y.) were each honored prior to the match.

The Rams cruised to the 3-0 victory with 25-7 and 25-15 wins in the first two sets. FSC closed out the match with a 25-18 victory in the third set to earn the Skyline win.

Farmingdale State registered 37 kills on a .435 attacking percentage on the night with Farrell tallying a match-high 10 kills. Flamio recorded nine kills and a season-high six service aces, while middle blockers Mikayla Profeta (Knoxville, TN) and Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) had six and five kills, respectively. Cavalieri totaled 15 assists, three digs and one ace and freshman setter Danielle Marullo (Patchogue, N.Y.) added six assists. Pozo had four assists and five digs, freshman middle Lauren Offermann (North Babylon, N.Y.) had three kills on four attempts, and both Jenya Surlin (East Meadow, N.Y.) and Madeline Stanley (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) added a pair of kills in the victory. All 16 players contributed to the win for the Rams.

Farmingdale State will close out their regular season schedule with a non-conference match against Bard College tomorrow, Friday, October 28th at 6:00 p.m.
