Rams Sweep Sarah Lawrence; Improve to 8-1 in Skyline

Farmingdale State - 3, Sarah Lawrence - 0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-13)


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The FSC women's volleyball team hosted Sarah Lawrence for a conference match this evening in Farmingdale, N.Y. and earned a 3-0 win. Farmingdale State improved to 12-9 overall and 8-1 in the conference, while the Gryphons fell to 8-13, 5-4.

After capturing the first set by a score of 25-15, the Rams followed with 25-22 and 25-13 victories.

Freshman middle blocker Mikayla Profeta (West Islip, N.Y.) recorded a match-high 16 kills to go along with a pair of solo blocks, while freshman outside Cathleen Farrell (Bayport, N.Y.) and freshman middle blocker Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) each had 15 kills.

Freshman Molly Miller (East Northport, N.Y.) and sophomore Lexi Cavalieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.) finished the night with 20 and 19 assists, respectively. Junior libero Madisyn Pozo (Bayside, N.Y.) tallied a match-high 15 digs in the win for Farmingdale State.

SLC was led by freshman Georgi Massey (Palisades, Calif.) who had six kills and six digs.

The Rams next will host non-conference opponent Ramapo on Saturday, October 23rd at noon. It is Senior Day as well as the DezyStrong game.
