Rams Split in Tri-Match at Misericordia

Match 1: Farmingdale State - 3, Keystone - 0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-10)

Match 2: Misericordia - 3, Farmingdale State - 0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-23)


Dallas, Penn. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team split at the Misericordia tri-match today in Dallas, Penn. The Rams earned a 3-0 win over Keystone before falling 3-0 to Misericordia.

In the match versus Keystone (1-10), the Rams (5-8) opened with back-to-back 25-14 victories before closing it out with a 25-10 win in the third set.

Freshman outside Cathleen Farrell (Bayport, N.Y.) led the way for FSC with a match-high 11 kills and four service aces, while freshman middle blocker Kalena Ricketts (Cambria Heights, N.Y.) and sophomore middle blocker Jenna Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.) each had eight kills.

In the second match of the day against Misericordia (7-8), the Cougars earned a straight-set victory. 

Farrell tallied eight kills and seven digs and Ricketts added five kills. Junior libero Madisyn Pozo (Bayside, N.Y.) recorded a team-high 14 digs in the loss for Farmingdale State.

Misericordia's Fiona Pyfer (West Chester, Penn.) had a match-high 13 kills, four blocks and 10 digs.

The Rams next will travel to Mount Saint Mary for a Skyline Conference match on Tuesday, September 28th at 7:00 p.m.
