Rams Roll Past Maritime in Skyline Match

Farmingdale State - 3, Maritime - 0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-16)


Throggs Neck, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team traveled to Maritime for a Skyline Conference match on Tuesday night and earned a 3-0 shutout victory. The Rams claimed the first set 25-15 and followed with 25-12 and 25-16 wins for the sweep.

FSC (10-7, 2-0) was led by senior middle blocker Kelsey Voiklis (Commack, N.Y.) who had a game-high 10 kills to go along with three blocks. Sophomore outside Kate Flamio (East Islip, N.Y.) added eight kills and four digs, while junior outside Alicja Zaborowska (Copiague, N.Y.) had eight kills. Freshman setter Lexi Cavalieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.) tallied a game-high 29 assists and sophomore libero Madisyn Pozo (Bayside, N.Y.) notched a game-high 11 digs.

For Maritime (3-12, 1-3), sophomore middle blocker Celyna Custodio (Danbury, Conn.) registered a team-high five kills, while freshman libero Brooke Kirchner (Lawrence, N.Y.) and sophomore outside Meghan Eagleton (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) each had four kills.

The Rams next will host Merchant Marine in a Skyline Conference match on Thursday, October 3rd at 7:00 p.m.
