FSC Cruises Past Yeshiva in Conference Opener

Farmingdale State - 3, Yeshiva - 0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-7)


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The FSC women's volleyball team cruised past Yeshiva University, 3-0, in their Skyline Conference opener this evening. Farmingdale State (8-5, 1-0 Skyline) earned a convincing 25-11 set one victory and followed with 25-15 and 25-7 wins in the second and third sets, respectively, to cap of the 3-0 sweep.

Freshman right side Mikayla Dalton (Mineola, N.Y.) led the way for the Rams with a career-high seven kills and five service aces, while sophomore middle blocker Dalia Cleckley (Rosedale, N.Y.) recorded six kills on six attempts for a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage. Junior setter Maria Veliz Thol (Queens, N.Y.) tallied a match-high 14 assists and freshman middle blocker Ca'Marai Clyburn (Wheatly Heights, N.Y.) produced career-highs with three kills and four aces. Sophomore libero Emani Mensah (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a match-high eight digs, freshman middle blocker Jenna Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.) registered a career-high four kills and two digs, and freshman right side Emani Jones (Amityville, N.Y.) added a career-best two kills in the victory. 

The Rams next travel to Wesley College for a non-conference quad match on Friday and Saturday. FSC will play John Jay on Friday, September 27th at 8:00 p.m. and follow with matches against both Wilkes and Wesley on Saturday, September 28th at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., respectively.
