Rams Cruise Past Lehman in Non-Conference Matchup

Farmingdale State - 3, Lehman - 0 (25-6, 25-18, 25-7)


Bronx, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team traveled to Lehman College for a non-conference match on Tuesday night and cruised to a 3-0 victory. The Rams improved to an even 3-3 on the season, while the Lightning dropped to 1-6.

FSC earned a convincing 25-6 win in the first set and followed with 25-18 and 25-7 victories in the second and third sets, respectively, to earn the sweep.

Sophomore outside Kate Flamio (East Islip, N.Y.) led the way with a match-high 10 kills, while freshman setter Lexi Cavalieri (Lake Grove, N.Y.) tallied a match-high 15 assists to go along with three aces, three digs and two kills. Freshman right side Mikayla Dalton (Mineola, N.Y.) registered four kills, six digs and three aces, junior setter Maria Veliz Thol (Queens, N.Y.) had 10 assists, three kills and three digs, and sophomore defensive specialist Emani Mensah (Brooklyn, N.Y.) produced two kills and five digs. FSC had 11 different players record a kill in the match.

The women's volleyball team will next host non-conference opponent Rutgers-Newark on Thursday, September 12th at 7:00 p.m.
