FSC Falls to Franklin & Marshall and Stockton in Non-Conference Matches

Match 1: Franklin & Marshall - 3, Farmingdale State - 0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-15)

Match 2: Stockton - 3, Farmingdale State - 0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-12)


Lancaster, Penn. - The FSC women's volleyball team played two matches at the Franklin & Marshall Scramble today and fell in both, 3-0. The Rams (5-14) first played host school Franklin & Marshall (12-4) and dropped three straight sets by scores of 25-13, 25-15 and 25-15, before being swept by Stockton (16-4), 25-17, 25-13 and 25-12.

In the match against F&M, junior middle blocker Kelsey Voiklis (Commack, N.Y.) tallied a match-high seven kills and .429 attacking percentage. Senior outside Annie Cosgrave (Brightwaters, N.Y.) added four kills, four digs and a block, while freshman setter Angie Yarrow (Absecon, N.J.) registered team-high's in assists (14) and digs (6).

For the Diplomats, sophomore setter Grace Maggiore (Chapel Hill, N.C.) led the way with 21 assists, five aces and five digs.

Against the Ospreys, Voiklis produced a team-high eight kills and seven blocks, including five solo, while Yarrow recorded 15 assists and two aces.

Stockton was led by junior outside Jocelyn Holobetz (Pottsville, Penn.) and sophomore middle blocker Franceska Gustave (Edgewater, N.J.) who tallied nine and six kills, respectively.

FSC next hosts NYU for a non-conference match on Tuesday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
