Moravian - 3, Farmingdale State - 0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-18)


Bethlehem, Penn. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team traveled to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for a non-conference match on Thursday night and fell, 3-0.

After capturing the first set 25-22, Moravian (7-9) followed with 25-20 and 25-18 wins in the second and third sets, respectively, to round out the sweep.

Offensively, freshman outside Kate Flamio (East Islip, N.Y.) led the Rams (3-12) with eight kills, while junior middle blocker Kelsey Voiklis (Commack, N.Y.) tallied five kills. Senior outside Annie Cosgrave (Brightwaters, N.Y.) recorded five kills, two blocks and 13 digs and freshman libero Kellianne Dempsey (Lake Grove, N.Y.) also had 13 digs in the loss.

Senior middle blocker Erin Tiger (Port Murray, N.J.) paced the Hounds with a game-high 13 kills, while freshman opposite Jess Appleton (Nazareth, Penn.) and freshman outside Katie Hudson (Pipersville, Penn.) each added six kills. Junior setter Victoria Kauffman (Monroe Township, N.J.) notched a game-high 33 assists, to go along with three kills and five digs for Moravian.

FSC next opens Skyline Conference play when they host Mount Saint Mary College on Tuesday, September 25th at 7:00 p.m.
