FSC Athletics Fall Update #8

- Hande named Player of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Fall weekly report #8 on Monday, October 30, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball.

Women's Volleyball Update (20-7, 10-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The women's volleyball team closed out the regular season with three Skyline victories last week. The Rams, who posted a perfect 10-0 mark in the conference, have earned the #1 seed and home court advantage throughout the playoffs. FSC will host the winner of #4 Mount Saint Vincent / #5 Mount Saint Mary in the semifinals on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Sophomore setter/right side Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week for the third consecutive week. She posted triple-doubles in two of the Rams' three matches, lifting FSC to the top seed in this week's Skyline Conference Championship. Hande filled the stat sheet with 19 kills, 19 digs and 18 assists in a five-set decision over Mount Saint Vincent (Oct. 26). As FSC rounded out regular-season action Sunday (Oct. 29), she posted a three-set triple-double of 13 kills, 16 assists and 11 digs versus St. Joseph's-Brooklyn helping Farmingdale State to an undefeated regular season in conference play and a 13-match winning streak overall.

 

Women's Soccer Update (11-7-2, 8-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams fell, 2-1, at Mount Saint Mary in their regular season finale last week. FSC has claimed the #2 seed for the upcoming Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Championship and will host #3 Mount Saint Vincent in the semifinals on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

 

Cross Country Update

The cross country teams will compete Skyline Conference Championship in Purchase, N.Y. on Wednesday after the meet was postponed on Sunday due to rain. The women will start at 1:00 p.m. and the men's race will follow at 2:00 p.m.

 

Men's Soccer Update (7-8, 3-6 Skyline) - Full Report

The men's soccer team dropped their final game of the season at St. Joe's-LI last week. The Rams finished the year with a 7-8 overall record and a 3-6 mark in conference play.
