Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State women's volleyball coach, Kristy Nix, was recently selected as the Head Coach of the 2018 AIST (American International Sports Teams) Volleyball team for their tour in Greece this spring.
The 2018 Greece Volleyball team will be made up of an elite group of collegiate players that AIST invites to represent the USA. The tour gives a unique opportunity to see 4-5 beautiful European cities while playing against quality international competition. This years team will travel from May 23rd until June 1st, playing in three exhibition matches vs. Greek club teams and making stops in Athens, Mykonos, Argolida and Delphi.
Since 2002, AIST has been traveling the world with select players from across the country to compete in a variety of sports. The selection process is based on recommendations from coaches as well as statistical leaders from around the nation at all levels of college play. The players gain cultural experience, personal growth, and improve skills while creating many new friendships along the way.
