
Farmingdale State - 3, Sarah Lawrence - 0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-7)
Farmingdale, N.Y. - In a Skyline Conference women's volleyball match this evening, Farmingdale State earned a 3-0 straight set victory over Sarah Lawrence.
The Rams (7-5, 2-0 Skyline) took the first set 25-15, then followed with a 25-11 win in the second before closing out the match with an impressive 25-7 third set victory.
Farmingdale State junior setter Lauren Anne Strezenec (Merrick, N.Y.) tallied game-high's in both assists (23) and service aces (6). Rams sophomore setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) and senior libero Stephanie Etersque (Deer Park, N.Y.) also recorded game-high's with 13 kills and 13 digs, respectively, while junior outside Annie Cosgrave (Brightwaters, N.Y.) totaled eight digs, five kills and five serving aces for FSC.
In the third set Cosgrave produced 14 straight serves that ended in a Rams point.
The Gryphons (6-7, 3-1) were led by sophomore Lauren Kilroy (King of Prussia, Penn.) who totaled eight assists, eight digs and two kills.
The Rams next travel to Stockton University for a non-conference tri-match on Saturday, September 30th. FSC will play Stockton at 9:00 a.m. and Franklin & Marshall at 1:00 p.m.
