Farmingdale, N.Y. - The women's volleyball team captured their first-ever Skyline Conference Championship this season. The Rams entered the playoffs as the top seed, which earned them a First Round bye. In the Semifinals, Farmingdale State captured a 3-1 victory over #4 Sage and advanced to the Finals for the first time since 2007. In the Finals, FSC swept #2 U.S. Merchant Marine to claim the Championship and enter the NCAA Tournament for the first time in the program's history.

The Rams drew #12 Eastern in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Championship and fell 3-0 as they finished their outstanding season 19-8 overall.

Freshman setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Player of the Year, while junior middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) earned First Team All-Conference honors.

Hande ranked first on the team in kills (242) and kills per set (2.78), second in assists (305), third for both service aces (52) and blocks (59) and fourth in digs (156).

Cadle-Hinton led the team with 83 blocks. Her 1.05 blocks per set led the Skyline Conference and she also ranked fifth on FSC in both kills (130) and service aces (29).

Junior defensive specialist Stephanie Etersque (Deer Park, N.Y.) led the team with 299 digs this season, while senior middle blocker Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.) recorded 160 kills and 82 blocks this season.

The Rams graduated four seniors this year.
