Danbury, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference has announced the Corvias Players of the Week for football, men's soccer, women's soccer, field hockey, women's volleyball, men's cross country and women's cross country for the week of play ending on October 16th.
Farmingdale State freshman setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) was named the ECAC Division III Metro Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week. Hande averaged a team-best 4.11 kills per set in a 3-0 week. She had a match-high 14 kills and added 13 assists, nine digs and five blocks in the win over William Paterson. Against John Jay, Hande totaled 10 kills and 14 assists and closed the week with a match-high 13 kills as well as 11 assists and five blocks versus Mount Saint Mary College.
