Hande Leads FSC in Victory Over MSMC

Purchase, N.Y. - Freshman setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) led the Farmingdale State women's volleyball team to a 3-0 Skyline victory over Mount Saint Mary on Saturday after tallying a match-high 13 kills. The Rams improved to 12-6 overall and 6-1 in conference play with the win.

Farmingdale State narrowly captured the first set, 25-22, but followed with 25-16 and 25-14 victories in the second and third sets, respectively.

In addition to her 13 kills, Hande added 11 assists and five blocks, while sophomore outside Annie Cosgrave (Bay Shore, N.Y.) had seven kills, 10 digs and a pair of blocks. FSC junior defensive specialist Stephanie Etersque (Deer Park, N.Y.) recorded a match-high 17 digs and junior middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) totaled a match-leading six blocks.

Mount Saint Mary (11-14, 3-1) was led by senior outside Angelia Cirigliano's (Newburgh, N.Y.) team-high six kills.

The Rams next will travel to York (NY) for a non-conference match on Friday, October 21st at 7:00 p.m.
