
Farmingdale State - 3, Medgar Evers - 0 (25-6, 25-1, 25-11)
Brooklyn, N.Y. - In a non-conference women's volleyball match last night, Farmingdale State traveled to Medgar Evers and earned a 3-0 straight set victory.
The Rams (7-6) captured the first set 25-6, then followed with an impressive 25-1 win in the second before closing out the match with a 25-11 third set victory.
Senior middle blocker Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.) had seven kills on seven attacks and added four blocks, while freshman setter Julia Hande (Islip, N.Y.) tallied six kills and seven assists. Sophomore setter Lauren Anne Strezenec (Merrick, N.Y.) carded a game-high 13 assists and junior defensive specialist Stephanie Etersque (Deer Park, N.Y.) finished the evening with a game-high 12 digs for FSC.
Farmingdale State next will travel to Merchant Marine for a Skyline Conference tri-match on Saturday, October 8th. The Rams will face host school Merchant Marine at 11:00 a.m. and St. Joseph's-LI at 1:00 p.m.
