Skyline Releases Fall Weekly Report #4

- Rosamilia, Kender and Howard named Player's of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Fall weekly report #4 on Tuesday, September 27, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball.

Women's Tennis Update (7-4, 3-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The women's tennis team posted a 2-1 mark last week with conference victories over both St. Joseph's-LI (6-3) and Sage (7-2).

Senior Tatiana Rosamilia (Malverne, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. She went 2-1 at both No. 2 singles and 3-0 at No. 2 doubles for the Rams last week, including unblemished marks in a pair of Skyline Conference matches. Rosamilia defeated St. Joseph's-Long Island at the No. 2 singles flight by a 6-1, 6-3 score, while capturing a 6-1, 6-4 victory at the flight to round out the week versus Sage. She won all three No. 2 doubles matches, including an 8-6 decision versus Oneonta.

Farmingdale State will host Staten Island on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and St. Joe's-Bklyn on Saturday at noon.

Men's Soccer Update (4-4, 3-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams carded a pair of Skyline wins last week and improved to a perfect 3-0 in conference play.

Junior midfielder John Kender (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was tabbed Player of the Week. Kender's first two goals of the 2016 season were both of the game-winning variety in conference play. He recorded the winner in a 3-1 road triumph at St. Joseph's-Brooklyn and followed up with the opening goal in a 2-0 decision at Sage.

This week the men's soccer team will play two home games: Friday vs. Yeshiva @ noon and Sunday vs. Sarah Lawrence at 11:30 a.m.

Women's Soccer Update (2-6-3, 2-0 Skyline) - Full Report

FSC tallied back-to-back 6-0 wins over both Old Westbury and Purchase before falling, 3-1, at Amherst on Sunday.

Junior forward Taylor Howard (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) earned Skyline Conference Player of the Week honors. The 2015 Skyline Conference Player of the Year got on track with a three-goal, one-assist week for the Rams. She netted the game-winning goal versus Old Westbury and added two goals and one assist against Purchase.

This week the women's soccer team will play three games: Wednesday at Mount Saint Vincent @ 4:00 p.m., Saturday vs. Sarah Lawrence @ noon and Sunday vs. Mount Saint Mary @ 2:00 p.m.

Men's Golf Update

The Rams won the FSC Skyline Invitational at Bethpage Red by nine strokes as they tied the school record with a team-total of 289.

The men's golf team next will travel to The Powelton Club for the MSMC Invitational on Friday, October 7th.

 Women's Volleyball Update (5-4, 3-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams were 2-1 in three matches last week. FSC hosted their Skyline tri-match at Nassau CC on Saturday and split with a 3-2 loss versus Maritime and a 3-0 win against Sage.

The women's volleyball team will travel to Utica College on Friday and will square off against Utica at 2:00 p.m. and Union (NY) at 6:00 p.m.

Cross Country Update - Full Report

After having last week off, the Rams return to action on Saturday, October 1st when they will compete at the LIU Post Invitational.
