Farmingdale, N.Y. - The women's volleyball team entered the playoffs as the #5 seed and lost in the First Round of the playoffs at #4 St. Joseph's-LI. The Rams posted a 13-14 record on the year.
Freshman outside Annie Cosgrave (Bay Shore, N.Y.) was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, junior middle blocker Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.) earned First Team All-Skyline honors and senior libero Francesca Calderon (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) was named to the Second Team.
Cosgrave led Farmingdale State in kills (204) and was second in digs (145) and blocks (31). Wright totaled 160 kills (second best on team) and recorded a team-high 65 blocks, while Calderon had a team-best 246 digs and 53 service aces.
Junior outside Christina Hickey (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) tallied 130 digs and 121 kills, while senior opposite Amanda Masson (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) was 32nd in Division III with 0.96 aces per set.
The Rams graduated three seniors this year.
