William Paterson - 3, Farmingdale State - 1 (25-13, 20-25, 25-12, 25-19)


Wayne, N.J. - In a non-conference women's volleyball match on Thursday night, Farmingdale State fell, 3-1, at William Paterson. With the loss, the Rams dropped to 12-10 on the season.

After losing the first set, Farmingdale State rebounded with a 25-20 victory to tie the match at 1-1. The Pioneers used 25-12 and 25-19 victories in the third and fourth set, respectively to earn the 3-1 win.

FSC was led by junior middle blocker Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.) who had a team-high 10 kills and four blocks. Freshman outside Annie Cosgrave (Bay Shore, N.Y.) tallied eight kills and five digs, while junior outside Christina Hickey (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) recorded five kills and three aces.

Junior outside Erin Roach (Clark, N.J.) had game-highs in both kills (15) and digs (15) for William Paterson (12-12), while freshman setter Kendall Caruso (Secaucus, N.J.) totaled 30 assists in the victory.

The Rams next will travel to Sage on Saturday, October 24th for a Skyline Conference Tri-Match. Farmingdale State will square off against Maritime at 1:00 p.m. and Sage at 3:00 p.m.
