Rams Defeat Yeshiva; Improve to 4-0 in Skyline

Farmingdale State - 3, Yeshiva University - 0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-19)


New York, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team improved to 4-0 in the Skyline Conference with a 3-0 victory over Yeshiva University on Tuesday evening. The Rams now stand at 9-8 overall, while the Maccabees fell to 1-8, 0-3.

Freshman outside Annie Cosgrave (Bay Shore, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State as she recorded a game-high 10 kills, while junior outside Christina Hickey (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) had eight kills, eight service aces and nine digs. Sophomore setter Gina Giacalone (Hauppauge, N.Y.) tallied a game-high 24 assists and added four digs and two aces. Senior opposite Amanda Masson (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) and junior middle blocker Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.) each had four kills in the victory.

The Rams next will travel to St. Joseph's-Brooklyn for a Skyline Conference Tri-Match on Saturday, October 17th. FSC will play Mount Saint Vincent at 1:00 p.m. before squaring off against St. Joe's-Brooklyn at 3:00 p.m.
