- Pomarico named Rookie of the Week -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released the Fall weekly report #5 on Monday, October 5, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics for men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball.

Women's Soccer Update (4-5-1, 2-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams played one game last week and earned an 11-0 victory over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.

Freshman midfielder Destiny Pomarico (West Babylon, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week. Pomarico recorded a career-high two goals in FSC's lone game last week. Junior midfielder Ashley Guerrero (East Meadow, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after she recorded two goals against St. Joe's-Brooklyn.

This week the women's soccer team will travel to Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. before heading to #2 Messiah on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Men's Soccer Update (6-4, 3-1 Skyline) - Full Report

The men's soccer team defeated St. Joseph's-LI (3-2) before falling to Maritime (1-0) in a pair of conference games last week.

Freshman forward Richard Mastrangelo III (Dix Hills, N.Y.) was named to the Honor Roll after scoring two goals, including the game-winner against St. Joe's-LI.

FSC will play host to NYU on Tuesday (7PM) and travel to Yeshiva on Thursday (8:30PM) this week.

Women's Volleyball Update (6-7, 3-0 Skyline) - Full Report

The Rams recorded a 3-0 home win over Medgar Evers and dropped a pair of matches versus Clark University and Connecticut College in a 1-2 week.

This week the women's volleyball team will play host to Lehman on Senior Night on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Rams will face Alfred State (10AM) and Cazenovia (12PM) at the Alfred State Tri-Match.

Cross Country Update - Full Report

At the Mount Saint Mary Invitational, the women's team finished in 13th place, while the men recorded a 16th place finish.

The cross country teams next will head to Van Cortlandt Park for the CCNY Invitational on Sunday.

Men's Golf Update

The St. Joseph's Golden Eagle Invitational scheduled for last Friday was cancelled due to rain.

This Friday the golf team will head to the Powelton Club in Newburgh, N.Y. for the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational. On Saturday & Sunday, Farmingdale State will compete at the NYU Fall Invitational at Forest Hill Field Club in Bloomfield, N.J. 

Women's Tennis Update (7-2, 3-0 Skyline) - Full Report

Farmingdale State's lone match against Purchase last week was postponed due to rain.

The week the women's tennis team will travel to St. Joseph's-LI on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and Yeshiva on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
