FSC Earns Fourth Straight Win with Shutout of Medgar Evers

Farmingdale State - 3, Medgar Evers - 0 (25-7, 25-4, 25-12)


Farmingdale, N.Y. - In a home non-conference women's volleyball match, Farmingdale State earned their fourth straight win with a 3-0 shutout of Medgar Evers this evening. The Rams improved to 6-5, while the Cougars dropped to 0-14.

FSC was led by freshman outside Annie Cosgrave (Bay Shore, N.Y.) who had a game-high 10 kills, while sophomore outside Stephanie Etersque (Deer Park, N.Y.) had two kills and six service aces. Senior opposite Amanda Masson (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) tallied a career-high 11 aces and senior libero Francesca Calderon (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) added six aces in the victory.

Farmingdale State finished the game with 31 service aces.

The Rams next will travel to Clark University on Saturday, October 3rd. The women's volleyball team will face Clark at 11:00 a.m. and Connecticut College at 1:00 p.m.
