Farmingdale State - 3, York (NY) - 0  (25-18, 25-17, 25-20)


Jamaica, N.Y. - In a non-conference women's volleyball match, Farmingdale State recorded a 3-set sweep over York (NY) on Wednesday evening. The Rams now stand at 3-5 on the year, while the Cardinals dropped to 2-9.

The Rams captured the first set 25-18 and followed with a 25-17 victory in set number two. In the third set, Farmingdale State jumped out to a 21-9 lead en route to the 25-20 win.

Junior middle blocker Katie DeGraff (Amityville, N.Y.) tallied a team-leading eight kills, while freshman outside Annie Cosgrave (Bay Shore, N.Y.) had seven kills and a game-high eight digs. Junior outside Christina Hickey (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) totaled six kills and seven digs, while sophomore setter Gina Giacalone (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and senior setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) recorded 13 and 10 assists, respectively. Giacalone also had a game-high six service aces for the Rams.

Farmingdale State next will host their Skyline Conference PlayDate on Saturday, September 26th. The Rams face Old Westbury at 10:00 a.m. and Purchase at 2:00 p.m.
