Rams Open Skyline Play with Sweep of Sarah Lawrence

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team opened Skyline Conference play with a three-set sweep of Sarah Lawrence. The Rams improved to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while the Gryphons fell to 1-4, 0-1 in Skyline.

Farmingdale State captured the first set 25-8 and followed with 25-9 and 25-14 victories to closeout the match. Freshman outside Annie Cosgrave (Bay Shore, N.Y.) recorded a game-high 12 kills, while senior opposite Amanda Masson (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) had a game-high seven aces and four kills. Senior libero Francesca Calderon (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) had five service aces, while junior middle blocker Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.) and freshman opposite Meaghan Moran (Islip, N.Y.) each pitched in with four kills. Senior setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) had a game-high 18 assists to go along with six aces.

Farmingdale State next will head to New Rochelle for a non-conference match tomorrow at 7:00 p.m.
