2014 Women's Volleyball Season Recap


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The women's volleyball team earned the #5 seed for the Skyline Conference playoffs and fell, 3-0, to Mount Saint Vincent in the first round. Farmingdale State finished the year with a 13-22 overall record, including 5-4 in the conference.

Senior opposite Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and sophomore middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) were both named Second Team All-Skyline this season.

Palladino led the team in kills (249) and aces (103) and was second in both digs (203) and assists (224), while Cadle-Hinton tallied a team-high 82 blocks and added 230 kills and 67 aces.

Sophomore middle blocker Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.) recorded 158 kills, while junior middle blocker Amanda Masson (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) was fourth on the team with 108 kills.

Junior libero Francesca Calderon (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) had 410 digs to go along with 51 service aces and junior setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) totaled a team-leading 455 assists this year.

Palladino was the only member of the Rams to graduate this season.
