Rams Post 1-1 Mark at Sarah Lawrence Playdate

Bronxville, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 victory over host school Sarah Lawrence and fell, 3-2, against Mount Saint Mary in the second match of the afternoon.

In the match versus Sarah Lawrence, senior opposite Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) led the Rams with a game-high eight kills and 10 service aces. Palladino's 10 aces was one shy of her career-high 11 she recorded in 2011.

Sophomore middle blockers Christina Hickey (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.) each had five kills, while junior setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) recorded a game-high 21 assists.

Trailing 2-1 against Mount Saint Mary, Farmingdale State captured the fourth set 27-25 but fell 15-12 in the deciding fifth set.

Palladino tallied a game-high 14 kills, while sophomore middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) added 12 kills. Pisciotta picked up 36 assists and junior libero Francesca Calderon (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) had a game-high 21 digs for the Rams.

Farmingdale State next will host Medgar Evers in a non-conference match on Monday, October 20th at 7:00 p.m.
