Rams Fall in 4 Sets at NJCU

New Jersey City - 3, Farmingdale State - 1 (20-25, 27-25, 25-18, 25-19)


Jersey City, N.J. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team fell to New Jersey City University on Thursday night in a four-game hard fought match. The Rams (8-16) won the first set 25-20, but fell in the next three as the Gothic Knights improved to 5-13 on the season.

Farmingdale State freshman Gina Giacalone (Hauppauge, N.Y.) led the team with 26 assists, four aces and 10 digs, while junior Francesca Calderon (Wheatley Heights, N.Y.) chipped in with a team-high 12 digs. Sophomore Barbara Wright (Farmingdale, N.Y.), sophomore Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) and junior Karen Ulysse (West Hempstead, N.Y.) all finished with seven kills in the match.

The Rams will now travel to Purchase College on Saturday, October 11th for a Skyline PlayDate with matches against Mount Saint Vincent (1pm) and Purchase (3pm).
