Rams Fall in Semifinals to St. Joe's

St. Joseph's - 3, Farmingdale State - 0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-21)


Newburgh, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to St. Joseph's in the Skyline Conference Semifinals this afternoon in Newburgh, N.Y. The Rams finished the season with a 14-23 record, while St. Joe's (19-12) advances to face top-ranked Sage in the Championship game at 4:00 p.m.

Junior outside Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) recorded a game-high 18 kills, along with seven digs and two blocks. Freshman setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) finished with 22 assists, while sophomore outside Karen Ulysse (West Hempstead, N.Y.) had a game-high 11 digs.

For St. Joe's, Heather Ferchland totaled 11 kills and one block, while Taylor Ahmed had a team-high 10 digs.

The Golden Eagles will now face #1 Sage for the Skyline Women's Volleyball Title and the winner will receive the conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division III Tournament.
