Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team hosted The Sage Colleges and NYU-Poly in their home Skyline Play Date today. The Rams (12-21, 7-2) went 1-1 in their two games, while Sage (15-15, 8-0) finished 2-0 and NYU-Poly (4-16, 3-6) was 0-2.

In game one, Farmingdale State defeated Poly 3-1. The Rams were up 2-0 before Poly took a close third set and Farmingdale secured the win with a fourth set victory. Junior outside Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) posted a game-high 18 kills, six aces and 11 digs, while sophomore setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) recorded 42 assists and 10 digs. Sophomore outside Karen Ulysse (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and freshman middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) each tallied 10 kills, while libero Francesca Calderon recorded 13 digs.

In game three, the Rams were led by Palladino with seven kills, seven aces and 11 digs. Calderon tallied a team-high 12 digs, while Pisciotta dished out 19 assists.

Farmingdale State will travel next to New Jersey City for a tri-match on Saturday, November 2nd with games at Noon and 2:00 p.m.

The Skyline Conference playoffs will begin on Wednesday, November 6th with the #1 and #2 seeds receiving a First Round bye. The Semifinals and Championship rounds will be held on Saturday, November 9th at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, N.Y. as part of the Skyline Fall Festival.
