Rams Go 1-3 in St. Joe's Invitational

Patchogue, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team went 1-3 at this weekend's St. Joseph's Invitational held in Patchogue, N.Y. The Rams dropped to 11-19 overall and will now be hosting St. Joe's in a conference match this Wednesday night, before finishing up their Skyline schedule at home on Saturday, October 26th in a Skyline Play Date with NYU-Poly and Sage.

On Friday night, Farmingdale State fell to Wilkes 3-0, before losing a close match with Manhattanville 3-2. Against Wilkes, junior outside Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) registered nine kills, while sophomore setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) finished with 17 assists. In the Manhattanville match-up, Pisciotta recorded 43 assists, Palladino posted 16 kills and freshman middle blocker Maia Cadle-Hinton (Huntington, N.Y.) finished with 12 kills.

On Saturday afternoon, the Rams fell to Ramapo 3-0 and rebounded with a 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence. In the Ramapo game, Pisciotta added 23 more assists to her season totals. Versus Sarah Lawrence, she posted 20 assists and freshman defensive specialist Samantha Morra (West Babylon, N.Y.) totaled a team-high eight kills.
