Rams Drop First Skyline Match at NYU-Poly

NYU-Poly - 3, Farmingdale State - 0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-19)


Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team suffered their first Skyline Conference loss of the season as they fell, 3-0, last night at NYU-Poly. The Rams now stand at 8-6, 3-1 in the Skyline, while the Blue Jays improved to 6-19, 3-3 in conference play.

Farmingdale State was led by senior outside Holly Sahner (Dix Hills, N.Y.) who had 11 kills and 14 digs. Sophomore outside Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) tallied eight kills, while freshman outside Angela Kranz (Bohemia, N.Y.) had a team-leading 16 digs. Freshman setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) picked up 17 assists for the Rams. 

Senior middle Corey Loupee (Crown Point, Ind.) recorded team-high's for NYU-Poly with 12 kills and 14 digs.

Farmingdale State next will play in the Rutgers-Camden Tri-Match on Saturday, October 13th. The Rams will face Rutgers-Camden at 11:00 a.m. and Lehman at 1:00 p.m.
