Rams Sweep Day Two of Jay Street Challenge

Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's volleyball team won both matches on the second day of the Jay Street Challenge as they picked up victories over York (N.Y.) and host school NYU-Poly. The Rams improved their record to 4-3 on the season. 

Against York College, sophomore outside Sarah Palladino (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) had a game-high 12 kills, while senior outside Holly Sahner (Dix Hills, N.Y.) recorded eight kills and four digs for Farmingdale State. Freshman outside Morgan Valinoti (St. James, N.Y.) added seven kills and two service aces.

In the win over NYU-Poly, the Rams were led by Palladino who picked up a game-high 17 kills and six digs, while Sahner had 12 kills and nine digs. Freshman setter Megan Pisciotta (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) recorded 28 assists and freshman outside Angela Kranz (Bohemia, N.Y.) tallied 17 digs and five aces for Farmingdale State.

The Rams next will host Maritime at 10:00 a.m. and Purchase at noon in their Skyline Conference Play Date on Saturday, September 22nd.
